I practice general Gynecology and am happy to see women of all ages. In general, I do not provide medical care outside of the specialty of Gynecology and suggest you designate someone in Internal Medicine or Family Practice as your "primary care physician". I am happy to make recommendations if you like.
I usually see patients between 9:00am and 11:30am and again between 1:30pm and 4:00pm. I am out of the office on Wednesdays, but office staff is available in the morning and my call partners provide coverage that day for urgent problems or emergencies. In order to give each patient our full attention, both in the office and on the telephone, we have designated telephone call-back times. We return phone calls between 11:30am and 1:30pm, and between 4:00pm and 5:00pm. Of course, exceptions are made for medical emergencies and urgent needs. I practice primarily at St. David's Hospital.
Payment is due at the time of service. We accept personal checks, Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover. If I am a preferred provider for your insurance plan, we will file a medical claim with and accept payment from your insurance company. However, copays and coinsurance are due at the time of service. You, as the patient (or legal guardian of the patient), are initially and ultimately responsible for payment of fees to our office for medical services rendered to you. There will be a $10 fee for all checks returned to us by your bank.
We do everything we can to make sure you do not have to pay for service that insurance should cover. We really dislike having to ask you so many questions about your insurance coverage, when all you really want is to have your health issues addressed. Please work with us to make sure your insurance company provides appropriate payment for covered services. Also be assured that we have your good health (not your money) as our number one priority.
Please limit after hour calls to medical emergencies only. To assure that a physician is always available for after hours emergencies, I share calls with a group of other gynecologists. The on-call physician can be reached through the Medical Exchange at 458-1121.
Please let us know as soon as possible if you must cancel or reschedule an appointment. This will allow us to accommodate your schedule and offer the appointment to a patient on our waiting list. On occasion, because of an emergency, we may be delayed or need to reschedule your appointment. Our goal is to minimize any inconvenience to you in these instances.
Refill Policy - Please call your pharmacy in advance if you will need refills on medications, and allow one to two business days for us to approve/provide refills. Refills cannot be provided after regular office hours.
My office staff is anxious to help you. I feel that everyone is "top notch" and would like for you to get to know them during your visits. Click here to learn more about our staff.
Be assured that we strive to provide the best medical care and service possible to you. Please let us know if there is anything we can do to make your experience with us better. Thank you!
